Switzerland. A land of mountains, chocolate, cheese, tiny foldable knives and (as we’re more than excited to note) whisky. Yes indeed, we’ve gone and bottled some Swiss single malt whisky from the fine folks at Langatun! The distillery was founded in 2007 with Hans Baumberger III continuing the tradition of tasty alcohol production, just like his predecessors. Unlike Hans Baumberger II and Hans Baumberger I, who focussed on brewing, he began distilling whisky too. Cartography experts will rather enjoy the label of our bottling - but what is it tracking?! Perhaps something wooden… And cask-esque…?
Tasting note:
Nose: Nutty malt with a layer of melted chocolate and dried fruit. A few flakes of sea breeze develop.
Palate: Honey-coated dried fruit, thick caramel and hints of earthy peat.
Finish: Peach flesh and honey'd malt. Baking spices right on the end.
