Lagavulin is a legendary Islay distillery which has made many fans over the years for their uncompromising peated expressions. Of course, in the same breath you could say that they have also terrified some with their uncompromising peated expressions, too! The distillery was founded in 1816 on the South-East coast of Islay, right by the Lagavulin Bay, which is where the scene on the label of our Lagavulin takes place. It’s also got a few familiar faces on there too - though they are dressed as pirates so you may not recognise them...

Tasting notes:

Nose: Fragrant, oak-y smoke, with a helping of BBQ meat following along behind.

Palate:  Well-balanced on the palate with coastal smoke and caramelised fruit sweetness.

Finish: Peppered steaks and honey-glazed ham. Yum.
