ABOUT THIS BOTTLING
This, our sixth batch, is the first of a pair of 10 Year Old Glenallachies (Glenallachii?) that we’ve finished two different cask types. Re-mixes, if you like.
This release of 418 bottles has been finished in a Makers Mark bourbon cask.
Glenallachie, founded in 1967, was built to produce malt whisky for the Mackinlay's blended Scotch Whisky brands. When Pernod took over the malt was destined for their Clan Campbell blend. All of its production was, until very recently, intended for blending and it was rare to find single malt whisky from the Glenallachie distillery.
