Arkansas, USA, is home to the Rock Town Distillery, founded by Phil Brandon in 2010. Plenty of the ingredients they use comes from inside the state, including portions of the corn, wheat and rye used in their whiskeys, as well as the barrels used to mature it - they’re coopered in Arkansas, too. As seen on the label of our Rock Town, they also use genuine Arkansas lightning, summoned by Phil himself, to char the barrels so they’re ready to mature they bourbon. He’s like the Thor of bourbon production, Phil is. 

Tasting notes:

Nose: Baked Cherries and brown sugar. Buttered corn-on-the-cob with black pepper. Slight menthol notes later.

Palate: Thick cherry liquor along with a herbal, slightly menthol/minty note. There’s liquorice and anise too.

Finish: The cherry continues alongside some sweet nutty notes
