The North British distillery specialises in producing grain whisky, much of which ends up in some famous blends, though a portion does get enjoyed as a single grain. It was founded in the 1880s by Andrew Usher, William Sanderson and John M. Crabbe. Today, the distillery is equipped with four Coffey stills with which to make its grain whisky. Our label features a sinister super genius and his cat. We have no idea why. Stop asking us.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Coffee beans, vanilla, shortbread and a subtle floral hint or two...
Palate: Gorgeous hints of chocolate ice cream, toffee sauce and almonds. A touch of liquorice hides in there...
Finish: Oily walnut and yet more creamy vanilla.
