We'd like to introduce you to our Islay Blended Malt #1, a yummy peated expression made exclusively with Islay malt whiskies! The chaps at the top of the label don't seem very concerned with peat at all. They're much more interested in dragging around a stone and leaving it somewhere so that future people will be so impressed. "Oh, wow, how did they get that there without the use of forklifts or cars?!" they thought modern people would say. Joke's on them - the modern folks at the bottom of the label are way more concerned with harvesting the peat to dry their barley.

Tasting notes:

Nose: Blackcurrant and grilled orange up front, shortly followed by herbal peat. Give it a minute and you're greeted to a gamut of mid-summer BBQ aromas.

Palate: Sweet peat as it opens, though it develops earthy, smoky elements on the mid-palate. Carrot cake, ripe banana and drying cinnamon.

Finish: Medium length with lingering ash, caramel and sugar-coated almond. A little grassy, too.
