We continue to independently bottle bourbon! This time, the whiskey comes from the fine folks at Heaven Hill in Kentucky, who have long been in the bourbon game since 1934, just after Prohibition was repealed. From small beginnings, Heaven Hill has grown and grown, and they now produce and distribute countless top quality brands, like Elijah Craig, Evan Williams and Old Fitzgerald, as well as a number of non-whiskey brands too. In 1996, Heaven Hill’s production plant suffered a massive fire, with many barrels of going up in flames. Since then, they have installed a sprinkler system in the warehouses, which you can see on our Heaven Hill label. Not every day you see a whiskey label celebrate a sprinkler, is it?

Tasting notes:

Nose: Burnt sugar, chocolate fudge brownie, corn-on-the-cob with lots of butter and a good whiff of oak.

Palate: Toasty oak and clove make it spicy as it opens, though touches of vanilla biscuits and orange oil keep it balanced.

Finish: Clove, cinnamon and vanilla bean sweetness.
