Speyside

Dailuaine Batch 8, 9 Year Old -Dailuaine is one of the many hard-working distilleries which quietly provide fillings for blends. Just 2% of production going to single malts. Distilled in july 2010 and initially matured in a refill hogshead. For the USA Series, we’ve finished this beauty in a first-fill ex-Bourbon barrel our favourite wax-dipped Kentucky bourbon distillery. Outturn 437 bottles 44.7% abv rrp £49.95

N: Green bananas, vanilla, pancake batter, fresh grains, and a hint of petrichor. Love this gentle nose!
P: Creamy vanilla custard, citrus - a squeeze of lime over cantaloupe melon, some overripe apples too. The medium length finish brings a touch of pepper and a sparking flint.

Strathmill Batch 10, 14 Year Old - Strathmill is one of Scotland’s workhorse distilleries, producing malt for the Blended Scotch Whisky industry, and is a key component of the J&B blends. Distilled in November 2006 and matured in a Hogshead before being finished in a first-fill ex-Bourbon barrel for our USA Series. Outturn 417 bottles at Natural Cask Strength (NCS) 55.5% abv rrp £64.95

N: Orchard fruits, malted barley, yeast, cookie dough, sponge cake, chalky, with dried grasses too.
P: Sweeter and fruitier than the nose suggested. The grassy notes leading rip apples, banana skins, and damp chalk. The finish is long with notes of cidre and lemongrass. Gluggable!

Speyside #4 Batch 12, 23 Year Old - A cracking 23 Year Old Single Malt from an undisclosed Speyside distillery that allegedly started it all!. For the USA Series, we’ve finished this mature malt in a first-fill ex-Bourbon barrel from our favourite wax-dipped Kentucky bourbon distillery. Outturn 399 bottles 45.7% abv rrp £149.95

N: Dried apples, fresh coconut, and hints of pineapple. Buttercream and caramel. Delicious!
P: More dried apple, with a hint of cinnamon. Mango juice, barley sugar, and gentle spices. Long sweet and fruity finish, with the coconut returning at the end.

Highlands

Teaninich Batch 6, 12 Year Old - From a vatting of two refill sherry butts filled in March 2007 before being finished in a first-fill ex-Bourbon barrel for ou USA Series. Almost all of this distillery’s production goes to the blenders for some of the world's leading Blended Scotch Whisky. Outturn 421 bottles at Natural Cask Strength (NCS) 59.1% abv rrp £64.95

N: Chalky initially. Citrus notes follow; fresh lime joyce, crisp, sharp apples, and summer grasses..
P: Robust. A creamy mouthfeel with milky coffee and roasted nuts. Peppery spicy touches, and more herbal grasses. Long spicy finish, with a bitter dryness. Love this!

Campbeltown

Springbank Batch 28, 23 Year Old - From a vatting of Sherry and Madeira butts, this Springbank was distilled in November 1996 before resting in an American bourbon barrel specifically for our USA Series. Outturn 411 bottles 48.9% abv rrp £399.95

N: Ooft! Complex, with hard rubber, phenolics, tar, fir resin, tobacco, leaf mulch, truffle oil. Hints of tea tree oil and bung cloth hessian.
P: Lovely dark fruits, big chocolate notes, rancio, and a touch of camphor, menthol, and seasalt. Bitter chocolate, and a cellar/dunnage earthiness comes through in the long finish.
