Look at this - we’ve bottled two brand new batches of excellent whisky, all with age statements (because that’s how we roll now). While some people are heading off on their summer holidays to build sand castles, admire regular castles and watch episode after episode of the TV show called Castle, we refuse to rest. Don’t even try to tell us to take a break! Get those shorts and sunglasses away from us!
First up, we have our third batch of Bunnahabhain, and we’ve bottled an absolute belter - a fantastic 33 year old piece of Islay deliciousness. The label shows all the stuff you might see if you happen to be at the distillery at the right time, including caber tossing, rally cars and vintage trucks. Oh, and maybe sharks? Maybe.
We’re also proud to present our third batch of Benrinnes, once again featuring Pete McPeat and Jack Washback from whiskyfun.com, having a very interesting conversation about partial triple distillation. If, like Jack, you’re a bit more concerned with the whisky itself than how it was once distilled, you’ll be pleased to know that this one is a marvellous 18 year old Benrinnes bottled at 52.5% ABV.
That’s your lot for today. Get back to whatever you were doing before you read this blog post, though now with the thought of yummy independently bottled whisky in the back of your mind.
