Another bottling of whisky from a sadly shut distillery - this time from Littlemill. It was founded in 1772 and continued to produce malt whisky in the Lowlands until 1984. It was reopened soon after and then closed once again, this time for good. The distillery has been dismantled and partly demolished since. This does not, however, stop people from enjoying their excellent whisky which was left! Menno Bijmolt, the chap on the label on our Littlemill bottling, is a collector of their whisky! He’s displayed his bottles in his shop, which has put him in a spot of bother with punters trying to buy some...
Tasting notes:
Nose: Chocolate covered biscuits, vanilla cream, apricot, icing sugar and a touch of blackcurrant.
Palate: Oak spice develops on the palate, with more vanilla creating a creamy mouth feel.
Finish: Delicate earthy notes arrive here.
